It's probably safe to say that Mom has an influence on you and your beauty philosophy. Maybe, after you rebelled in the form of pink hair and piercings, she told you that you were gorgeous no matter what. Perhaps she showed you the power packed inside a tube of fabulous mascara or slathered you in sunscreen as a kid (and still calls to remind you to wear extra SPF to this day). She may have taught you that there are a million different versions of beauty, and that often, it's a force that originates within.

Mothers—and grandmothers, aunties, godmothers, stepmothers, and all the other maternal figures in our lives—are often models of how to live with grace and style.
